About the project
For the Škoda Motorsport project, I crafted a high-octane, adrenaline-fueled sound design that translates the raw power, precision, and tension of rally racing directly to the screen. The audio foundation is built on real, high-revving car recordings captured directly from the track, delivering authentic exhaust roars, sharp gravel impacts, and aggressive turbo spools that put the viewer right in the co-driver's seat.
To ground the narrative in the intense reality of competitive racing, I layered authentic co-driver radio comms and intercome chatter, weaving crucial pacing cues and urgent instructions into the soundscape to create a gripping sense of real-time urgency and teamwork. As the cars tear through dynamic corners and acceleration sequences, the mix is supercharged with heavy cinematic hits, powerful sub-drops, and sharp metallic transitions that emphasize every drift, jump, and split-second maneuver. These elements amplify the visual momentum, building a relentless rhythmic drive that mirrors the driver's focus and the extreme engineering of the rally car.
